Fun Music and Storytelling in Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Hi, Thank you for visiting Once upon a tune.

I am Founder and Leader Diana Peers and I provide fun music sessions and storytelling to groups, events and individuals throughout Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire in the North East of Scotland.

Once upon a tune is wonderful fun for children of all ages and is also very successful for children and adults with additional support needs and the elderly.

Through its unique blend of stimulation and freedom of expression Once upon a tune encourages participation and creates a vibrant, diverse and highly imaginative environment.
When I established Once upon a tune in 2001 I started initially as a Children's Entertainer with fun music sessions for young children. I had been doing sessions with my own children and groups of their friends and their parents and when my youngest headed off to school I decided to offer sessions to local groups and individuals. Before long this expanded to include providing entertainment at children's parties and other special events.

I soon found that my approach also worked very well with the elderly and I now regularly visit many care homes. Likewise, I have built up a lot of very rewarding experience with children and adults with additional support needs, having delivered sessions to many groups and continuing to provide regular one to one sessions for a number of individuals.

Alongside my fun music sessions I have developed my skills as a Storyteller and am a registered Storyteller with the Scottish Storytelling Centre and with the Grampian Association of Storytellers. I am also registered with the Scottish Book Trust's Live Literature programme. My approach to story depends upon my audience, for younger ones it is highly interactive to engage and stimulate and for more mature audiences it can be more traditional.
