Fun Music sessions in Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire, Scotland

Hi, Thank you for visiting Once upon a tune.

I am Diana Peers and I provide fun music sessions to groups, events and individuals throughout Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire in the North East of Scotland.

"A child's imagination is a very precious gift. As soon as they are born, babies are taking in the world around them and participating in it. Stimulus can aid that development."

Once upon a tune is a vibrant, diverse and highly imaginative playground to which everyone can respond in their own way. It's a great confidence builder, encouraging communication and individuality in a fun filled environment.

My fun music sessions encourage children to:

  • Experiment with different percussion instruments

  • Work with various sounds and ideas

  • Listen to music and interpret it in fun, imaginative ways

  • Join in with rhymes and songs

  • Participate in and listen to stories

I have a tremendous range of toys and props to bring the many different themes that I do to life; On the farm, The Circus, Jungle Antics, Friends, A Bug's Life, Seasons and Weather, Outer Space, Colours, Counting and Around the World to mention but a few. Youngsters love exploring and they are very much encouraged to do this. I give them as much freedom as possible, praising them and having lots of FUN at the same time.

Visits to groups or events, either as single visits or part of a series, can be themed, for example to complement a class project or reflect an event's theme. I am willing to research any particular topic. My aim is to engage, entertain and enthral, enhancing your visit or activity.

My fun music session are also ideal entertainment for children's birthday parties and special events.

After a session at Toddling Tigers, Inverurie:

Pamela wrote: "My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the session. She loves music and dancing so it was perfect for her."

Stacey wrote: "Cool range of songs and activities."

Hui wrote: "It's good fun, my daughter and I really enjoyed it."

And feedback from a session at Rothes Nursery (no prizes for guessing the theme!):

"The children and staff of Rothes Nursery would like to thank you very much for a brilliant afternoon of fun and games, we just hope the sun really does shine for our holidays. We would definitely recommend Once upon a tune to other schools, money well spent. Thanks Diana."
